Be a lumberjack for a day with World Champion lumberjack, Darren Hudson! Located at his Wild Axe Park in a beautiful setting along the timeless Barrington River, on Nova Scotia’s South Shore. This location is sure to offer an experience like no other in North America! Come join us beneath the pines as we guide you through the five essential and exciting lumberjack skills!

Experience Highlights:[

  • Guided Lumberjack Activities: Learn log rolling, cross cut & bow sawing, tree climbing and axe throwing from World Champion Lumberjack, Darren Hudson
  • Lumberjack Heritage: Hear five-generations of family stories of what it was and is like being a lumberjack in South West Nova Scotia
  • Test your Skills: Step out of your comfort zone and try your hand at traditional lumberjack activities.
  • Warm up by the campfire: At the end of the day, warm up by a campfire for some tasty s’mores and a sampling of a local craft beer brewed specifically for Wild Axe by Boxing Rock Brewing Company, or choose a hot heritage tea made over the campfire.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations made less than 7 days prior are non-refundable. Participants will be notified 24-hours in advance if experience is cancelled due to inclement weather forcast or unforeseen circumstances.

Good to Know:
Reservations are required. Each session is approximately 3-hours in length (longer for larger groups). Closed toed shoes are mandatory. We recommend you bring a change of clothing and a spare pair of sneakers for log rolling! Other days and times may be available upon request. Participants must be at least 10 years of age.

50% deposit required upon booking, remaining balance is taken upon arrival.

All measures are taken to ensure a safe and fun experience in a controlled environment – great for all ages!
